Funeral Assistant / Removal Technician

Purpose: To ensure the smooth running of a funeral/memorial service at all times and assist across a variety of roles associated with funeral service.

• Support and assist Funeral Directors to ensure each funeral ceremony meets the specific requests and requirements of the person who has dies, together with their family.
• Assist and undertake the preparation and presentation of the body entrusted to our care in a professional, caring and dignified manner.
• Removal of Human Remains from the place of death and transport back to the funeral home. At ALL times be ready to deal with removals from hospital or home (includes day and call nights/weekends).
• Prepare funeral cars include daily cleaning.
• Keep and maintain the funeral home grounds and inside the building.

Skills:

• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to undertake heavy lifting and ability to work outside in all weathers.

Requirements:

• 18 Years Old, Valid Driver’s License
• Happy to be flexible when called upon to work additional hours on short notice.
