Removal Technician - Part-Time

Job Duties
• Make first calls (Removal of deceased from hospital, homes, etc.).
• Complete all necessary documentation.  
• Deliver deceased to funeral home or crematory location.  
• Track and properly store personal effects and valuables.  
• Assist with Care Center facility and equipment upkeep.
• Errands and other duties, as needed.

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Certifications/Licenses:  
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
• Must be able to pass drug test
• Must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record
• Prior funeral experience a plus

Skill/Ability:
• Must be able to listen and manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs.  Requires the ability to listen and determine individual needs of clients.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Must have a congenial personality and display a high level of professionalism.
• Must be very detailed and possess the ability to multi-task successfully.
• Basic typing skills (data entry) and the ability to utilize a computer.
• Must adhere to a strict grooming and dress code.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; stand; sit; walk; and drive all vehicles. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; push and pull; bend and carry; twist and turn. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including cold, dampness (rain/snow), humidity, and extreme temperatures (heat and cold). Work may be very stressful depending upon the requirements of work schedules and customers. Employee must wear personal protective equipment as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
