K. R. and Kerry Palmer, active co-owners of Palmer Funeral Homes, in South Bend, IN, operate eight funeral home locations. www.palmerfuneralhomes.com. Palmer’s serve about 1300 families a year. All locations are within 10-20 minutes of one another. As we have grown, we have not lost sight of the family feel with a willingness to listen to families and provide that personal service while providing our directors with life balance.

Our directors meet an average of 11 families per month. They are on call with phones approximately 5 nights per month. We provide health insurance in addition to salary and three weeks paid vacation. Our directors can make removals and embalm but we are more interested in funeral directing. Salaries range from 65k to 75k plus bonuses in June and December.
