My name is Richard Wallace, and I am the Assistant Funeral Home Manager at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park. I have lived in the Pierce County community my entire life. What I love most about this community is how well we all come together to help our neighbors in a time of need, and how well we just care for one another.

Currently we have an opening for a Licensed Funeral Director. As a licensed funeral director, you will be joining a team of professionals that strive to enhance their skill sets daily to better serve our client families. Mountain View has some of the most caring, ethical, and transparent team members amongst the profession.

In 2019, I myself had a loss within my family. My aunt who I was extremely close with died unexpectedly. Our family called upon Mountain View to arrange her services and carry out each detail that we believed would be important to make her life celebration a reflection of the woman that she was. As I dealt with my grief, I found myself needing to work in the profession to care for others in the manner my family was cared for. Today, not only do I get to serve our client families, but I am honored and humbled that I get to serve the team that selflessly wakes up every day and chooses to serve the community. There truly has been no higher calling in my life than to serve in this profession.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Washington (or possess the ability to reciprocate), have excellent communication skills and integrity, and an innate passion for serving others.
