Funeral Director Apprentice / Apprentice Embalmer

We are looking for a funeral director apprentice/apprentice embalmer for a family-owned firm in Lebanon, Missouri.  We are located between Springfield, Missouri, and the Lake of the Ozarks, within easy driving distance to several other lakes and rivers in the area.  Our firm serves between 200-250 families per year and has been family-owned since 1957.

Our ideal candidate will be currently licensed or able to become licensed in Missouri, and will have several duties and responsibilities which will include:

• Performing removals and transfers of deceased human remains
• Embalming
• Dressing and casketing
• Meeting with families to arrange funeral and memorial services and visitations
• Delivery of flowers, photos, and memorabilia to families after services are completed
• Performing some simple maintenance around the funeral home—cleaning, changing light bulbs, etc.

Some on-call work is required, as well as weekend availability. Salary is negotiable.
