2024 New Applicants for Distance Learning - Check Your Email

An e-mail was sent to affected students who applied to start our Associate of Applied Science Program in October 2024. New students will have the option to transfer to the on-campus program at Gupton Jones, transfer at no cost to the distance education program at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, or request a refund of their $50 application fee and select a program of their choice.

Students who have already begun the Associate of Science delivered through distance education are unaffected by this update. For more questions, please contact your admissions department.

Pierce Colleges and Mercy University Announce Articulation Agreement

Broadview, Illinois:  Pierce Colleges of Funeral Service (Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, and Mid-America College of Funeral Service) have signed an articulation agreement with Mercy University of Dobbs Ferry New York to offer the Organizational Management: Funeral Home Management Program within their School of Business to their students and graduates.

Tuition Increase - October 2023

With the start of the Fall quarter (October) there will be an increase in tuition and fees. Details of the tuition and fees will be made available on the website and the College Catalog on Thursday, July 27th

Starting in the Winter term January 3, 2023, all courses will be offered on Blackboard

Students, starting in the Winter term January 3, 2023, all courses will be offered on Blackboard, the new Learning Management System (LMS), for Pierce Colleges.  To help in the transition to the new LMS, you are being asked to login to Blackboard as soon as possible and access the Student Resources course.  In the Student Resources course, you will find useful tutorials on how to navigate and utilize the learning tools in Blackboard.
