Funeral Director/Embalmer

Full-time Funeral Director/Embalmer licensed for the State of Tennessee.  Complete vital stats, Death Certificates via VIRSM, permits and any other documentation required by the State of TN.  Plan, coordinate, schedule any funeral and/or Memorial Service for families.

Submit obituaries and photos to requested newspapers as well as online obits. Conduct funeral service and attend burials and oversee interments at the cemetery. Operate and produce media including music and/or DVD during funeral service or visitation. Set up flowers for service and transport to the cemetery. Complete Military honors paperwork and arrange for honors for funeral or memorial service. Embalm. Sanitize and maintain a clean prep room for embalming and follow all safety, infection, and control standards. Maintain state licensing requirements as well as continuing education courses. Complete all embalming prep and documentation as required. Perform housekeeping duties which are necessary in maintaining a neat and clean facility.
