
Sherietta Lane received her undergraduate degree in English from Johnson C. Smith University, an M.A. in English from the University of Georgia, and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of South Carolina. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of English at the University of South Carolina.
Sherietta has over 13 years of teaching experience and a strong background in English Composition. Additionally, she also teaches a variety of Gender Studies courses. Her areas of specialization include Online Instruction, Digital Humanities, 20th Century African American Literature, Multiculturalism, and Black Feminism. She is a member of several professional organizations, including The Toni Morrison Society, National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Modern Language Association (MLA), and the College Language Association (CLA).
