
John T. Hill is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and has a Bachelor of Biblical Studies in Pastoral Ministry from The Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. Also, he holds an Associate in Applied Science Funeral Service Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He has earned many titles in the Funeral profession: Licensed Mortician (Embalmer and Funeral Director), Restorative Art Specialist, Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP), Member of the British Institute of Embalming (MBIE), Funeral Service Education Instructor, Chaplain, and Certified Crematory Operator (CCO).
He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Washington D.C. and soon in Virgina, Tennessee, and Georgia.
He owns Hill Mortuary Service, a trade embalming and restorative arts service to funeral homes and has helped over 30 firms. He also works as a funeral director, embalmer, cemetery specialist, chaplain, and certified crematory operator for James Funeral Home and Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville, North Carolina. And whenever schedule allows, John also is a trade embalmer for Rouse Mortuary Service in Greenville, North Carolina, which is the largest mortuary service in the state.
In October of 2020, John became a Funeral Service Education Instructor at his alma mater, Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina teaching the Embalming courses with labs and Restorative Arts courses with labs. He is also a presenter at funeral service seminars in continuing education courses.
Mr. John T. Hill has become a Restorative Arts Specialist by furthering his education on embalming and restorative arts in Advance Postmortem Reconstructive Surgery at Fountain National Academy of Professional Embalming Skills in Springfield, Missouri under Vernie R. Fountain. He has also received continued education in Anatomical Preservation and Dissection Theory at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Experience Anatomy in Charlotte, North Carolina.
