Licensed Funeral Director
As a Licensed Funeral Director, you will play a crucial role in assisting families with funeral arrangements and providing support during their time of need. In addition to your responsibilities in funeral service coordination, you will also be required to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
Your primary duties will include:
• Meeting with families to discuss funeral arrangements, including burial or cremation options, service details, and merchandise selection.
• Providing compassionate support and guidance to families throughout the funeral planning process.
• Coordinating logistics for funeral services, including transportation of remains, scheduling of visitations and ceremonies, and coordination with clergy and other service providers.
• Preparing and embalming remains in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
• Assisting families with completing necessary paperwork, such as death certificates and permits.
• Arranging for cemetery services, including plot selection, grave opening, and closing coordination.
• Providing grief support resources and referrals to families as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including funeral home facilities and vehicles.
• Upholding all relevant state and federal regulations governing funeral services and funeral home operations.
